Natasha currently works as a Part-Time Lecturer at the Law School of Asia Pacific Institute of Information Technology (APIIT) and a Junior Counsel at the Law Chambers of a President’s Counsel.
At APIIT, Natasha currently teaches and tutors Criminal Law, Law of Evidence and Human Rights Law. She also serves as member of the Editorial Board of the APIIT Law Journal 2023, the Patron of the Moot, Debate and Mock Mediation Society, and the Co-Chair of the APIIT English Language Centre.
Natasha has also worked as freelance researcher for various projects commissioned by the Centre for the Study of Human Rights (CSHR) – University of Colombo, Centre for Equality and Justice, Women in Need, USAID and UNDP Sri Lanka. Her research work has been in relation to child trafficking, child marriage, SDG 16 and sexual and gender-based violence.
Natasha holds an LL. B (hons.) degree from the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo and is an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka. She is also reading for her LL.M in Public Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo.
Her current research interests lie in Comparative Constitutional law, Environmental Constitutionalism, Gender and Women’s Rights and Transitional Justice.
